With so many decisions needing to be made when renovating or building a new home, it helps to browse products at your leisure, build wish lists and track your orders.
It’s easy and free to create a secure account.
We don’t sell shoes and we don’t sell false promises. What we do sell is top quality bathroom, kitchen and plumbing products that will make your friends envious. Just remember to tell them where you bought your products!
We mentioned shoes because they’re easy to buy online. Buying bathroom fittings requires deeper consideration. That’s why we need to explain the ordering process before you click the “buy” button.
Orders
Please select the products carefully. Double check that they’ll fit in your bathroom or kitchen and make sure they match the style you’re looking for.
Remember too that some items may not be in stock in our warehouses. We may need to order the goods from our suppliers, or they may need to be manufactured. So, if it’s an order for a large number of items, expect there could be a delay. Unless you tell us otherwise, we’ll hold all the goods until the order is complete.
Once you’ve submitted your order, our staff will review it and contact you if they think something is wrong. We want happy customers, so we’ll always check the details.
If it is a relatively small order of just one or two items, and they’re in stock in our warehouses, we’ll dispatch them to you within 24 hours of the order being placed.
Shipping and Click and Collect
Click and Collect and Order Pick-ups | This is the easiest and cheapest way to get your goods. Place the order, and if we have the items in stock, we’ll have them ready for collection the next day from our Canberra warehouse. If we have to order the goods for you, we will confirm when we’ve received them and provide a time when you can pick them up. |
Free Shipping | We offer free shipping on orders over $500 to areas within 50 kilometres of our stores in Canberra, Wagga Wagga, Albury/Wodonga and Goulburn. We also offer free shipping to these areas on taps, showers and accessories valued at more than $100. Certain items (baths, spas, heavy vanity units, mirrors) are excluded from free delivery because of their size, weight and fragile nature. These products are click and collect only. |
Paid Shipping | Freight is one of the greatest input costs for Australian businesses, so — unfortunately — we cannot offer free shipping everywhere. We use our own vehicles to deliver goods from our stores. National freight companies are used to ship goods outside the range of our own vehicles. So if you live in these areas, your shipping costs will be calculated before you check out. In remote parts of Australia, the freight carrier may not be able to get to your front door. In these cases, the goods will be delivered to a depot near you for collection. We also use Australia Post for the delivery of small items. |
Next Day Shipping | This applies to items in stock in our warehouses that can be shipped the day after you place your order. |
Regular Shipping | This generally applies to a large order which combines items we have in stock with others which we need to order from our suppliers. We will wait until we receive and collate all the goods before we send the complete order to you. This could take a few days, up to two or three weeks. We will be in contact if there are further delays. If you want one or some of the items earlier, let us know and we will send them separately. However additional charges will apply for multiple deliveries. |
Custom-made products
Some of the products we sell, such as vanities, spa baths and tapware in particular colours, needs to be manufactured to your specification or needs to be ordered from overseas suppliers. If you order these products, you must expect a significant delay in delivery. We’ll be in contact with you regularly to tell you how the order is progressing and when delivery can be expected.
Out of stock products
Sometimes we will be out-of-stock of a particular item you have ordered. This could be because of shipping delays, factory closures due to Covid, or some other logistical reason. If we cannot access the item quickly, we will notify you of the likely delay and discuss an alternative product that can be secured quicker.
Deliveries and insurance
You will be notified when your delivery will be made.
All goods delivered to you are insured. Nevertheless, it is important that you inspect the goods within 48 hours and notify us of any damage or discrepancy. We cannot accept a claim for damage after 48 hours.
When inspecting the goods, make sure that the original packaging is not damaged or discarded as this will limit your ability to return the item.
Because many of our products are bulky and heavy, we deliver to the front door of houses on level blocks. If you live in an apartment or on a challenging site, our delivery driver will need assistance from you or a tradesperson to move the goods to where you want them. It is essential that we have this information before the delivery is attempted.
If you won’t be home at the time, you can request an authority to leave your goods unattended. However, damage, loss or theft of the goods will not be covered by insurance and will be your responsibility.
If our driver is unable to complete a delivery, additional charges will apply for a second delivery.
Small items (for example taps and accessories) can be delivered to a Post Office box or parcel locker.
Not ready to take the goods?
If your new home or renovation is not ready, we’ll store your goods for $20 per pallet per week for a maximum of three months. Contact our customer service team to arrange this for you.
Returns
Returning bathroom products is not as easy as returning shoes that don’t fit. Remember, you should ensure you choose carefully if you want to avoid fees when returning bathroom, kitchen and laundry products.
Warranties
The goods we sell are covered by manufacturer’s warranties which vary according to the product. If you suspect the product is faulty, notify us and we’ll arrange for a representative of the manufacturer to inspect the goods and authorise the repair of the product or its replacement. However, it is not uncommon for plumbing and bathroom products to be installed incorrectly. If this happens, the manufacturer will not honour the warranty and you will be asked to pay for their inspection. Similarly, it is not Southern Plumbing’s responsibility if the product has been damaged during installation. So choose your installers as carefully as you choose your products!
Change of mind
Under Australian consumer law, you are not entitled to a refund if you change your mind after you buy an item. However, we will do our best to assist in returning or replacing the item if we can sell it. Contact us and we will determine what costs will be involved in the return.
We won’t impose a return fee if the goods have not been despatched from our warehouse.
If they have been delivered, the following will apply:
- If the goods are in their original packaging, you can return them within 14 days and we’ll refund the cost, minus the original shipping cost and minus the cost of the return shipping
- If the goods are small items (taps, showers, accessories and the like), the return fee will be $15, plus the original and return shipping costs
- If the goods are large items (toilets, appliances, kitchen sinks, basins, laundry tubs etc.), the return fee will be $100 plus the original and return shipping costs
- For baths and spa baths, the return fee will be $250 plus the original and return shipping costs
Please note that we cannot accept the return of goods that are not in their original packaging, or in damaged packaging, including on pallets for larger items.
A special word about baths
Baths are especially susceptible to damage, particularly on building sites where the bath is installed early in the build and other tradespeople are working above and around the bath. We inspect every single bath before it is despatched to ensure there is no damage. We require our customers to do the same when it arrives. Take photos. Not only will that protect you from any damage caused in transit, but it will also prove that the bath was fine before it was installed.
Returning goods to our warehouse
To avoid the fees and to ensure the goods are not damaged during the return process, you can always arrange to drop-off goods at our Canberra warehouse. But let us know beforehand so we’re prepared.
Damaged and faulty goods
We ask you to inspect the goods as soon as you receive them. If something looks damaged, or if the box rattles when it probably shouldn’t, please tell the driver. He or she will alert our customer service team and we’ll issue a refund or replace the product once we’ve inspected it.
If you can’t inspect the goods immediately, you have 48 hours to contact us to report a fault. We’ll ask for photos and other details so we can examine the damage.
We cannot be responsible for missing or damaged goods after 48 hours. They may have been moved or even stolen – building sites are notorious for products going missing!
Goods that are damaged or not in their original packaging are not fit for re-sale, so we cannot accept them for return or refund. We also cannot accept goods for return if they have been installed by an unlicenced tradesperson.
Goods that cannot be returned
There is a small number of goods which cannot be returned. Vanity units, shaving cabinets, mirrors and custom-made products are made-to-order. We will contact you with the documentation to confirm your order before the goods are purchased from the manufacturer. Once purchased, none of these items can be returned or their value refunded.
Payment
We accept Visa or Mastercard, or you can pay by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or PayPal.
We use the Westpac Bank payment portal.
Is it safe to purchase online?
Yes. We’ve taken every measure to ensure your details are kept private and are treated with respect at all times.
Technical difficulties
As is the nature of all websites and digital technology, there is the occasional technical issue that requires fixing. If you come across an error or have difficulty loading a page, be assured we are working to fix it.
In the meantime, we recommend that you clear your cache, deleting the information that is automatically stored on your device when you visit a new site.

Yes. If you’ve found a product cheaper elsewhere provide the details to us including where you found it and the price, along with a website link or other reference and we’ll work to bring you the best deal we can.
Do you deliver internationally?
We do not currently deliver outside of Australia.
How can I determine product availability?
When browsing our online product catalogue, you’ll see product availability listed alongside item details.
In stock | Stock is currently available at your nominated store and is ready for delivery or collection the same or next day. |
Low stock | Stock is low and may need to be transferred from another store or sourced from the manufacturer before we can fill the order. |
Special order | Special orders such as custom vanities and tapware finishes depend on the manufacturer’s lead times, so we recommend allowing a generous lead time to meet your project’s timelines. Some special order products may arrive in as little as 2 to 3 days, whereas other products may take several weeks or even months while they are manufactured and shipped. A team member will discuss these timeframes with you before finalising your order. |
How do I apply for a Trade Account?
Southern Plumbing Plus offers trading accounts to approved customers with an Australian Business Number (ABN). Please contact us to obtain an application form.
Once the account is approved and your credit limit determined, you’ll have access to contract pricing, our online portal Switch, and the opportunity to earn and redeem Plus Factor Rewards for every purchase.
